Spider-Man No Way Home Trailer 2 Easter Eggs: Everything You Missed

If you’re just like me, re-watching the final Spider-Man: No Way Home trailer countless times to spot all the Easter eggs, then I’ve got you covered. Here’s everything you missed:

Doctor Ock’s Stark Tech Arms

Not only has Doc Ock returned, but it seems like he’s had some updates. If you look closely at his mechanical tentacles, they’re decked in the signature Stark red.

In fact, a passing remark about this invention had been penned down in the original Iron Man script. But it was ultimately removed. Now that Spider-Man is safely under MCU’s banner, this little Easter egg may point to Doctor Ock stealing the tech from Stark Industries.

Why Does Strange Specify That All The Villains Die Off?

Strange reveals to Peter that all the villains he’s currently facing were previously defeated by another version of Spider-Man, saying, “they all die fighting off Spider-Man.”

This holds true for Doc Ock, Electro, and Green Goblin, but not so much for Sandman and Lizard. Does Strange mean that it is the villain’s “fate” to die off the hands of one Spider-Man or the other — Implying Peter has to kill Sandman and Lizard in this universe?

Spotting Hobgoblin

Now besides Willem Dafoe’s iconic (and slightly hideous) Green Goblin, we spot another green-suited person. Is this simply Dafoe but in a different suit, or… is it Hobgoblin? While some fans are hoping it’s Dane DeHaan or James Franco making a comeback, some even speculate it could be Ned!

Lady Liberty Gets Captain America’s Shield

On a lighter note, it seems that besides a Rogers Musical (as teased in Hawkeye), another homage is being paid to Captain American by decking the Statue of Liberty with his shield.

Hello Spidey Suits

All the Spider-suits are in action! We’ve already seen the Iron Spider suit, and now we get a closer look at the royal Black and Gold suit along with one that has been enhanced with Doctor Strange’s mystic arts.

MJ Recreates Amazing Spider-Man 2

The trailer was filled with bits of nostalgia, but none hit home like the scene where MJ falls, recreating Gwen’s (Emma Stone) heartbreaking demise in The Amazing Spider-Man 2. I’m not forgiving anyone if MJ has the same fate… Let’s not think about it for now.

Doc Ock Does Not Recognize Peter

While the first trailer has Doc Ock’s emblematic “Hello Peter,” this quickly does a 180 when he expresses, “You’re not Peter Parker,” in the final trailer. Is this merely to differentiate and establish that different versions of Parker exist?

Perhaps Doc is just as surprised as the rest of them about the multiverse opening up and meeting a new Spider-Man. But I’m sure fans will take it as a confirmed sign of Tobey Maguire and Andrew Garfield appearing in the movie. Which brings us to…

8. What Is Spider-Man Leaping Into?

Something does not look right in the frame. We see Spider-Man propelling right to the center of something… most likely aiming for Sandman. But clearly, Lizard and Electro are positioned attacking specific people who seem to be invisible in the video.

Has Marvel edited out certain folks to keep the surprise alive for December 17? With only a month to go, I can’t wait to find out!
