Seema and Carrie have gotten a lot closer. While Carrie covering for her with her parent’s obsession into finding out who their daughter’s partner is a testament of that, having Carrie ask for permission to wear a sari to her parent’s Diwali celebration because she feared it would be ‘cultural appropriation’ seems forced and awkwardly placed by the showrunner. The original series has been under blast for the mishandling of POC characters, will the spin-off follow suit?
Charlotte is still struggling with her child’s changed gender expression and projects that insecurity onto Miranda when she tells her she’d slept with Che. She even goes as far as to say that Miranda isn’t progressive enough for this. Will the two sort things out or just keep the peace for Carrie’s sake?
Despite the judgement from her friends, Miranda decides to pursue Che and sends them a DM. In the teaser, we see that Charlotte is feeling awkward around Che because they never wrote back to her. What could’ve been the reason for this? Find out in the next episode!

And Just Like That… Season 1 Episode 6 Recap
The episode begins with Carrie and Seema at an apartment viewing downtown. After months of looking, she finally decides to move to the downtown apartment as a way of moving into a new chapter of her life. She still isn’t completely sure of how she feels about her new apartment and is still trying to get used to her new surroundings. Miranda tells Charlotte about her having slept with Che a couple of months ago and storms off when she feels judged. Carrie chases after her and tells her they’ve already lost Samantha and she can’t bear to have any more rifts in the group.
Carrie goes to a face lift consultation with Anthony to offer him some moral support (and talk him out of doing something too crazy) and ends up having her own spirits dwindled by the cunning plastic surgeon who shows her a hyper realistic 3D scan of what her face would look like with a face lift and other cosmetic procedures.
Miranda quits drinking cold turkey but still can’t seem to get Che out of her head. She decides to act on her fantasies and sends them a DM. Carrie attends a diwali celebration at Seema’s parent’s house and covers for her when they bring up her ‘boyfriend.’ Later that night, she tells Seema she hates her new apartment.

And Just Like That… is an upcoming American comedy-drama television series. It serves as a 10-part reboot of Sex and the City and is set to premiere on HBO Max in late 2021.
Sarah Jessica Parker, Kristin Davis and Cynthia Nixon reprise their roles as Carrie, Charlotte and Miranda. Newly joining the series will be Nicole Ari Parker, Sara Ramirez, Sarita Choudhury and Karen Pittman.
