Andor Episode 7: Andor Finds Himself in Prison for Six Years

After the action-packed episode last week, episode 7 deals with the after-effects of the Aldhani Raid. And though this week’s episode may not have the same intensity, but the truths uncovered, the secrets laid out, and the events that transpired have not disappointed fans.

Speaking of a big twist, Cassian Andor faces a six-year sentence at the end of this week’s episode – and that too for someone else’s crimes. The moment Andor dreamt of his mother and his freedom, he was put behind bars, but will he stay there for long?

Episode 7 saw Andor return to Ferrix with enough credits to make his escape along with his mother. However, his mother did not seem as keen on the idea as him. The Empire’s power over Ferrix and the growing rebellion justified her hesitation. Not to forget that Andor was wanted for the murder of two Pre-Mor security officers.

Andor and Maarva

After visiting his friend Bix and being reminded of his past crimes and debts, Andor returns to his mother. His mother explains why she wants to stay on Ferrix and help the rebellion, and Andor heads away, sneaking past stormtroopers.

But alas, at the last moment, Keef, Andor’s latest alias, is caught by stormtroopers for someone else’s crimes. And though no one realizes his real identity, his possible six-month imprisonment quickly turns into six years, to his surprise.

Andor’s Sentence

The recent bills being passed about heavy prosecution for criminals seem to play a crucial role in his sentence. For now, Cassian is removed from the action already unfolding as the rebellion’s patterns are being unveiled. But if we know Andor, we also know prison won’t stop him for long.

But of course, Luthen Rael is not to be trusted to save Andor any longer since he is probably the one behind the hit.

In previous episodes, Luthen’s trust in Andor has dwindled, and as we know from his recent involvement in the Aldhani Riot, Rael is not one to be messed with.

Andor will return with episode 8 next Wednesday on Disney+.
