Andor Episode 10 Release Date, Recap, and Speculation

Beau Willimon is delivering a masterpiece in the form of a spy-thriller set in a dystopian sci-fi world that highlights the horrors of an authoritarian regime.

The interconnected stories highlighting the underrated characters in the Star Wars universe with fleshed out storylines has been a piece of art.

As Andor heads towards the final three episodes of the first season, we can expect great things in the climax.

1. Episode 10 Synopsis/Speculation

A grandiose prison break is exactly what I am expecting from next week’s episode. Episode 10 will be a concoction of emotional trauma and rebellion, leading to a climactic face-off between the prisoners and the guards.

Today’s episode shows the prisoners of Narkina 5 that their shifts don’t matter. Not only are the numbers made up, but the prison sentences are fake. No one gets out of the prison once they enter.

Just think about Cassian’s sentence. How can someone be sentenced to 6 years in prison for merely trespassing? That, too, without a trial.

Once a prisoner’s sentence is ‘over,’ they just get shifted to another floor with another made-up sentence. This cycle will continue until they finish what they are building.

I’m sure they are making pieces of the Death Star, and prisoners are way cheaper than Droids and easier to replace.

Even Kino realizes he is never getting out of prison by being a good boy after Dr. Rashiv accidentally reveals it to the prisoners. The tables have turned, and Kino is finally helping Andor. At the end of episode 9, Kino reveals that there are never more than twelve guards in one floor.

Cassian is slowly hatching an escape plan with his fellow inmates. He has spotted holes in the security and is sneakily cutting into the water pipes with his small knife. A classic prison break is loading for sure!

I will not be surprised if they get out of prison only to see a half-built Death Star!

Coming to the ISB headquarters, Dedra connects Cassian with the Aldhani heist. She uses Cassian’s aging mother, Maarva, as bait and tries to catch him. Will Cassian visit his mother after his prison heist? Mr. Gorst and his torture device will be waiting for that.

Talking of the torture device (which I will henceforth be calling the Screamer), we have never seen it in the Star Wars universe before. I am interested to know more about Screamer and Dr. Gorst.

The Screamer seems even more sinister than the Bor Gullet that Saw Garrera used against Bodhi Rook in Rogue One. As the doctor explains, it consists of the screams of the dying Dizonite children who were massacred by the empire.

I mean, what the hell do dying Dizonites sound like?

It broke someone as tough as Bix Caleen! Is there a chance of it being used against Andor at some point?

Next week’s episode answers that and more. So, stay tuned!

5. Episode 9 Recap

For those who were planning your own heists on another planet and missed this week’s episode, here is a refresher:

The Empire slowly gains ground in investigating the Aldhani attack and Andor’s involvement in it. Meanwhile, this week’s installment delves into the horrible life of the inmates at the Narkina 5 prison.

We also see how Mon Mothma, Vel, and Tay Kolma are working for the rebellion and the harassment they are facing.

In the end, we see a horrible turn of events at the Narrkina 5 prison and the change of plans for Kino Loy. Hopefully, he will help Andor escape from prison in the later episodes.
