Leslie Grace Caught in a Bloody Fight in New Batgirl Set Photos

Photographer John Delvin recently released set photos of Batgirl Barbara Gordon suited up and in the middle of a brutal fight with the bad guys.

It hasn’t been long since the production in Glasgow for the DCEU superhero movie has begun, but the set images have been a treat for everyone.

Photos posted by Delvin hint at the movie filming for a violent battle. The images show Leslie Grace smiling and discussing with the team.

Other photos show Glasgow’s streets and a bloody, muddy Barbara Gordon, presumably during a fighting sequence. The images suggest that production might have moved on to action filming.

The set photos also offer a clearer look at Batgirl’s costume and her iconic red hair. Check them out below:

Along with the images, the photographer also shared a video of the Batgirl team transforming Glasgow into Gotham City. Fans’ assumptions regarding some Christmas elements will also be true as the production team can be seen busy with holiday decorations around the city.

Batgirl will be focusing on the early days of Barbara Gordon donning the Batsuit. The movie is expected to take a different angle from the usual DCEU storyline, too, just like The Flash. Thanks to the internet, fans have seen no shortage of Batgirl set photos.

Previous photos released various connections and hints at multiple story angles, such as Court of Owls, the existence of Robin in the universe, and even an appearance from Stagg Enterprises, a financial company seen in Wonder Woman’s timeline.

Grace’s Batgirl would reportedly be “crazy dark” but not enough to surpass Zack Snyder’s levels. However, judging by the photos, it will have quite a few bloody fights.

Focusing on the titular superheroine’s origins, the movie remains one of the most highly anticipated releases of 2022. Unlike other theatrical releases for DC movies, Batgirl will be released on HBO Max.

About Batgirl

Batgirl was an upcoming superhero film in the DC Extended Universe. It was supposed to have an exclusive debut on HBO Max sometime in 2022-23 and was slated to be directed by Adil Al Arbi and Bilall Fallah (previously worked on Ms Marvel) with a screenplay by Christina Hodson (screenwriter for Birds of Prey). Kristin Burr was listed as the producer.

In July 2021, it was confirmed that Leslie Grace will be playing Batgirl/Barbara Gordon. However, due to unavoidable circumstances, Warner Bros. announced in 2022 that the upcoming film has been cancelled.
