Batgirl Set Photos Reveal Michael Keaton’s Batman in Full Costume

Batgirl has taken over Gotham (read Glasgow) City and so begins the exciting new reveals that come with leaked set photos.

As the Warner Bros. film’s production is currently underway in Scotland, fans have gotten quite a lot of updates these past weeks.

Twitter user @BatgirlFilm posted the exclusive images of Batman on set, expressing their delight at seeing Keaton return to the role after three decades.

Although the set photos are blurry and the details of his suit aren’t exactly sharp, fans won’t have to wait long to see the actor’s return to the DC universe. Before he hops onto HBO Max to help Leslie Grace’s Batgirl, Keaton will make his theatrical debut in The Flash.

Michael Keaton had previously stated that his bat-suit from the original films still fits him. Although it’s hard to tell how different his new suit might be from the original version, it wouldn’t be too much of a surprise if it ends up being quite similar to the classic.

Other recent set photos have revealed various details and updates like J.K. Simmons as Commissioner Gordon, a clearer look at Batgirl in action, Batman and Robin murals, taxis with Gotham City labels.

Batgirl/Barbara Gordon, first introduced in 1961, is the teenage daughter of Commissioner Jim Gordon and often watches over Gotham and is allies with the Dynamic Duo and other masked vigilantes who help fight crime in the city.

Duo Adil El Arbi and Bilall Fallah direct the film, with Christina Hodson penning the script. The film doesn’t have a release date as of now, but it is one of the many highly-anticipated titles that DC has in store for fans this year.

Batgirl will go straight to streaming on HBO Max sometime later this year, but before that, you can catch Keaton’s official debut to the DCEU when The Flash hits theaters on November 4, 2022.

Kristin Burr was listed as the producer.

In July 2021, it was confirmed that Leslie Grace will be playing Batgirl/Barbara Gordon. However, due to unavoidable circumstances, Warner Bros. announced in 2022 that the upcoming film has been cancelled.
