The beginning of every season of Better Call Saul is a flash-forward to a timeline after the end of Breaking Bad’s finale. These black and white flash-forwards feature Odenkirk as another alias called Gene Takovic.

In each season, the audience gets to know more about Gene’s past and it begins by interfering with his present. Takovic is shown working at Cinnabon in a mall and leads a mundane, every-day life.

In the new teaser trailer for Better Call Saul season 6 part 2, released by AMC, it is hinted that Gene’s life might begin unravelling in the upcoming part 2 of season 6 of the series.

The teaser begins in a similar way as earlier flash-forwards, with visuals of Gene making cinnamon dough and folky background music, but there’s a shift in the tone mid-way. Gene hears a ringing, which overshadows the music and swiftly looks outside his window.

The clip also shows him pouring an entire bag of diamonds on his table. While talking on the phone, Gene tells someone, “I got made. I’m gonna fix myself.”

Fans assume that Gene will get an ending similar to Walter White’s in Breaking Bad, where he finally meets his maker at the end of the series. After the latest teaser, it is clear that Gene can no longer put up a façade of his normal life.

Season 6 part 2 will reveal more about how Gene Takovic deals with the demons of his past to be able to finally stop running. The flash-forwards, always shot in black and white, in contrast to the rest of the series, managed to create an aura of mystery around it. This will finally be resolved this season.

As per reports, Aaron Paul and Bryan Cranston are also all set to reprise their roles as Jesse Pinkman and Walter White in the upcoming season finale of Better Call Saul. So, fans of the franchise have much to look forward too.

Better Call Saul season 6 part 2 will premiere on AMC on July 11, 2022.
