Billions Season 6 is Out and It’s Not Bad…Not Bad at All

What a treat it was to get an early premiere of Billions Season 6! I’m sure, like me, you’re missing Axel as well, but the show must go on—and it portrays just exactly how things are getting by for Prince and Chuck, who have emerged victorious after Season 5.

My first instinct would be to tell you to watch the episode pronto, but I cannot let you go without dishing out some details that will definitely get you excited about watching the new season!

In Billions Season 6 Episode 1, Prince struggles to win over Axe Cap’s investors and employees, including Wendy, Taylor and Wags, with Chuck refusing to call a truce with him. Chuck has his eyes set to take down a new billionaire enemy, Melville Revere.

Let’s get this out of the way from the get-go—no, Axel does not appear in the episode. Any fans crossing their fingers, hoping for even a tiny squeak of Axel in Billions S6, will have to accept the reality that the shrewd billionaire is out of the picture for now.

On the other hand, Mike Prince, who has risen to the position of co-protagonist alongside Chuck, has taken over Axe Cap. Strike that, it’s Mike Prince Capital now. But just because Prince has his name all over the corp does not mean he’s having the best of times running it.

While there is no mention of Axel, his absence is incredibly loud as employees and investors of the company straddle with Prince’s takeover. Taylor and Wendy make it clear that they don’t like working for Prince, while Wags has a win-win situation on his hands since Prince will have to pay him $80 million if he is fired.

Amidst all this subtle tension, Prince takes Wendy’s advice to “do the unthinkable.” If you know Prince and his personality, you might make a guess on what he decides to do with this advice.

Hint: It’s on the lines of Santa’s naughty and nice list, or what have you.

As for Chuck, he’s itching to take down a new billionaire, which of course, he finds will be his new neighbor Melville Revere. Crusades, as they say, begin at home.

Revere has been getting on Chuck’s nerves for firing cannons, and no amount of admonition either from Chuck or the townsfolk is getting him to stop.

I’m not going to spoil Chuck’s ploy for you, but let’s say he does get a taste of easy victory.

Now, one really interesting thing about Chuck’s Season 6 storyline is that it begins with him “taking a break,” but as the episode advances, we realize that although he isn’t revealing his tactics, he does have a big scheme in mind.

How are we to decode? By watching Billions Season 6 Episode 1, of course.
