Billions Season 6 Episode 9 Recap
The episode begins with Prince sitting in the office amongst the promotional posters for his Olympic Bid, which had now been snatched away from him. Chuck shows up, unable to hide the joy he is deriving from Prince’s massive loss. To gloat some more, he asks Prince if he’d be willing to sell him some of the property for the Land Bank, to which Prince says, “I’m not in the business of buying high and selling low.”
The interaction strengthens Prince’s resolve to go after Chuck, specifically, his position as AG. Kate tells him that it is a possibility if he gets the Governor onboard and a two-thirds majority in the Senate vote. Meanwhile, Chuck takes on the cause of opening up a members-only private park as a part of his crusade of opening up the city to the public.
Taylor figures out that Ben and Tuk are being scouted by High Plains. Taylor goes after Dollar Bill and Mafee for trying to steal their personnel and they back down, acknowledging it was a bad move on their part. Chuck ends up walking right into a trap as his pursuit of the private park ends up getting a motion passed to remove him under the grounds of abuse of power. Prince manages to get a majority in the Senate and Chuck loses his position as Attorney General.
