Bones & All: Timothee Chalamet’s Cannibal Film Gets a New Teaser

There’s a new cannibal in town. No, wait. There are two! Based on the 2015 novel of the same name by Camille DeAngelis, the upcoming film Bones & All features Maren and Lee, cannibal lovers traveling thousands of miles in the backcountry to escape their past—until it catches up to them and threatens to destroy everything, including their love.

The film stars Timothee Chalamet, Taylor Russell, Mark Rylance, Andree Holland, Michael Stuhlbarg, Jessica Harper, David Gordon Green, and Chloe Sevigny. The romance horror is directed by Italian director Luca Guadagnino.

Guadagnino and Chalamet have previously worked together on the 2017 film Call Me By Your Name. One of the director’s most successful films, it propelled Timothee Chalamet into the spotlight.

Dune actor Timothee Chalamet posted the teaser on his Twitter account amid several tweets and retweets with the word “bone” in them, which is a unique way to market a film, we must say.

The teaser does not provide any new information or footage that could reveal more crucial plot points. But Chalamet’s new look and his obvious chemistry with Russell have intrigued fans into adding the film’s release to their calendars for November 23, 2022.

The teaser opens with the two leads in a scenic countryside close-up shot as Chalamet’s Lee asks Russell’s Maren, “You don’t think I’m a bad person?” The dialog makes it seem like others have in the past thought so. Given the fact that he is on the run and is open about his cannibalistic tendencies, they aren’t wrong to do so.

Several clips of them on the run follow, just as they had in the past chased their victims too, with screams of terror and fear playing in the background, chilling enough to raise goosebumps on the viewer’s skin. At the end of the flurry of the clips, Russell’s Maren declares, “All I think is that I love you,” firmly believing that their love will conquer it all.

The teaser has packed in just enough to create mystery around the film and to spark the viewers’ interest. More updates about the film will soon surface since November is almost upon us. Chalamet and Russell fans can expect a more detailed trailer in a couple of months.
