Chris Evans “Would Love to Join the Star Wars Universe”

After Marvel and Pixar, it’s time for Chris Evans to play a memorable character in the Star Wars franchise, too. If given a chance, that is.

In a recent interview with MTV News for his latest voiceover role as Buzz Lightyear in the movie Lightyear, the 41-year-old Captain America actor also expressed his excitement about any kind of role in Star Wars.

The host touched upon the actor being a part of multiple large-scale Disney projects—Marvel and Pixar—but somehow “no Star Wars” or a “musical.”

Before the host could complete his answer, Evans excitedly questioned the same thing and even shared that he wouldn’t mind playing even a Stormtrooper.

“Yeah, why is there no Star Wars? God, I would love to be in Star Wars. God, I mean, I would do anything even if I was just a Stormtrooper, I’d be thrilled.”

The interview makes it apparent that the actor would gladly take up any role offered to him in the legendary intergalactic franchise.

Star Wars is an unstoppable franchise. Shows regarding the universe’s characters are thriving right now. There’s Obi-Wan, (the highly famous) The Mandalorian, and even The Book of Boba Fett—shows that continue treating fans to the vast Star Wars universe.

If Evans were to play a role, it could both be a long-term role or just a cameo since the franchise has had its own decent amount of cameos from people such as George Lucas, Daniel Craig, and Sofia Coppola.

As one of the A-list Hollywood stars who has become synonymous with the Avengers, it doesn’t seem far-fetched if Evans were to join yet another formidable franchise. The universe would only benefit were the two forces to unite.

Meanwhile, Evans has multiple releases lined up after Lightyear, such as the thriller The Gray Man, slated for this year’s release, and Ghosted, slated for next year’s release.
