Cobra Kai: Season 5 to Explore Alternate Ending for Karate Kid 3

With Cobra Kai Season 4 out, fans of the series might be able to already taste what Season 5 would look like.

As the buzz continues, Cobra Kai showrunner Hayden Schlossberg shared with the “Nerds of the Valley” that a key question in the minds of fans relating to Karate Kid Part 3 will be answered in Cobra Kai Season 5.

The reveal comes a few days after co-creator Jon Horowitz confirmed Season 5’s filming. But even before fans can check out Season 4, Schlossberg has made anticipation rise even more with his reveal.

As per the showrunner, Season 5 will explore an alternate storyline to Karate Kid Part 3’s ending, explicitly answering where the story would lead if Daniel and Miyagi eventually lost in the tournament.

In Cobra Kai Season 4, Terry Silver wins the All Valley tournament, which now gives him the power to make his master scheme turn into a reality. For Terry to be the primary source of karate, he will be ready to take on any challenges and become a more powerful villain.

Sure, Season 5 would also see the hero’s side—Daniel and others—team up yet again to try and take him down. But before that, the audience will see how the Valley would turn out when Terry expands his business and makes his dream of taking all Cobra Kai dojos under his wing.

By revealing such a key tease, Schlossberg makes sure the hype for Cobra Kai doesn’t settle down. The upcoming season will prove more thrilling for both Karate Kid and Cobra Kai enthusiasts. They won’t have to turn to fan theories or their imagination anymore but actually, see things play out on screen.

Cobra Kai Season 5 might arrive sometime in mid to late 2022 as the filming wrapped up on December 19, 2021.
