Michael B. Jordan’s Adonis Creed returns to the ring after five years on March 3, 2023. The third film in the Creed film series, Creed 3, is the ninth film in the Rocky franchise, and that’s not all!
Creed 3 marks the directorial debut of the famous actor who will also return as the titular character. We’ve compiled everything you need to know about Creed 3’s production team, cast, and plot, and here it is!

The returning cast members include Michael B. Jordan as Adonis “Donnie” Creed, Tessa Thompson as Bianca Taylor, Wood Harris as Tony “Little Duke” Evans, Florian Munteanu as Viktor Drago, Phylicia Rashad as Mary Anne Creed, and Tony Bellew as “Pretty” Ricky Conlan.
Jonathan Majors joins the cast as Damian “Dame” Anderson, the main antagonist of this series. Joining Majors in the film are Selenis Leyva, Thaddeus J. Mixson, Spence Moore II, Mila Davis-Kent, and Canelo Álvarez.
The story picks off five years after the events of Creed II (2018), and Adonis Creed is at the top of his boxing career, his life with his fiancée Bianca is just beginning. A ghost from the past in the shape of Damian Anderson, Adonis’ childhood friend and former boxing prodigy, arrives to disrupt Creed’s perfect life.
Out of prison after nearly two decades, Damian is back to claim everything he had lost, and the only way he can be the new best is by beating the current champion – Adonis Creed. Adonis must face his past with everything in his present at stake and go against a fighter who has nothing to lose.
Helming the director’s role is Michael B. Jordan, joined behind the camera by director of photography Kramer Morgenthau (Creed II, Thor: The Dark World), production designer Jahmin Assa (Angelyne), and editor Tyler Nelson (The Batman, Rememory).
The film’s costume designer Lizz Wolf (Creed II, Pacific Rim: Uprising), and score composer Joseph Shirley (Jackass Forever, The Book of Boba Fett), have already showcased their work in the trailer.
