Beware the Purge! Willow & Other Shows Will Leave Disney+ & Hulu Soon

As if Canceled shows weren’t enough; now, viewers might also have to bear the pain of seeing their favorite shows leave their current platforms. Disney has now revealed that they intend to make an extensive sweep and clear stagnant titles from Disney+ and Hulu soon. I’m sad to report that Willow, Y: The Last Man, and Big Shot are among those to be removed.

HBO Max has already used this method to cut costs and make room for new projects, and as Deadline reports, Disney is following. During an earnings call, the multimedia company confirmed that a number of shows will depart from Disney+ and Hulu on May 26, 2023.

Some of the shows that I’m guessing you’ll miss the most are Willow, The One and Only Ivan, and The Making of Willow on Disney+ and Little Demon, The Quest, and Y: The Last Man on Hulu. For the complete list of movies, series, and specials, please refer to the extensive list below only after preparing your heart.

The decision to scrap these shows and remove them forever makes sense from a business point of view, but I can also see it as discouraging.

Not only will fans of these productions be disappointed to see them go, but the people who shed blood, sweat, and tears, real or fake, will also lose this to the whims of the streaming giants. Not every show or film has such a substantial following to turn this decision around, but that doesn’t mean my previous point doesn’t stand.
