Doctor Strange 2: Professor X’s Hoverchair Appears in ScreenX Trailer

It seems like Marvel is bringing back the X-Men in a classic comic style in Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness.

On April 22, multiplex chain CGV posted a ScreenX version of the trailer for Doctor Strange 2.

While it seems pretty much like the previous one, close observation shows X-Men’s Professor X talking to Strange, possibly in his classic hoverchair.

The chair has never been used in the previous movies. It was only seen in X-Men: The Animated Series and the comics.

Readers can watch the video closely at 00:12-00:13 seconds and see an off-focus Professor X moving towards Strange in his chair—which definitely seems to be up in the air.

Although just a one-second appearance, it works its charms of getting people more invested in the storyline Marvel will open in the sequel.

As teased in the previous trailers, the talented Patrick Stweart returns as Professor X and will play a major role. However, whether or not he will be the same version fans know or from an alternate universe is up for debate.

Considering that a never-seen-before hoverchair debuts in the movie, bets on an alternate universe version might win.

Moreover, director Sam Raimi recently revealed how the sequel would see the lead guy—the one who thinks he can control it all—face personal struggles and grow more.

The chain reaction for the MCU to take a drastic turn started with the multiverse opening in Spider-Man: No Way Home, but Doctor Strange 2 will take it a level above.

In a past interview, Benedict Cumberbatch revealed that Doctor Strange 2 might overtake No Way Home’s most ambitious superhero movie title.

Meanwhile, Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness remains a highly-anticipated MCU movie. It will release in theaters worldwide on May 6.
