Tale Of The Nine-Tailed aired with its first season in October 2020, starring Lee Dong Wook, Kim Bum, and Jo Bo Ah. The trailer for the second season just dropped, and fans are excited to witness the prequel to a fantastic story. 

The fans suffered heartbreak when it was reported that its female lead, Jo Bo Ah, would not be reprising her role as the lovable Nam Ji Ah. Jo Bo Ah, who played Nam Ji Ah and Ah Eum, will not return to the show. The team is recasting the female lead. So, Yi Ah-eum will not return in Tale of Nine-Tailed season 2.

Tale of the Nine-Tailed 1938 has added another reason to get excited about season 2 of the K-drama. Going back in time for a prequel of the globally famous show, Tale of the Nine-Tailed, season 2 has confirmed a cameo from the season 1 star, Jo Bo Ah.

It was reported that the actress will make a special appearance in season 2 and has already completed filming. This has been inspiring news for all the fans who were saddened to hear about her departure.

2. Who is confirmed to return for the second season? 

TvN confirmed that its leading male actor Lee Dong-Wook would return to his role as Yi Yeon. At the center of the K-drama was Yi Yeon, a centuries-old gumiho who works as an agent in the Afterlife Immigration Office and helps stop rogue spirits. One day he meets his long-lost love and faces turmoil.

Tale of the Nine-Tailed Season 2 will also bring Kim Bum back as Lee Rang. News of the actor’s return puzzled fans due to the fate Lee Rang faced in the first season. The second season’s storyline makes his return more evident.

New cast members Kim So-Yeon and Ryu Kyung-soo will join Lee and Kim. Ryu is well known for her role in Netflix’s Hellbound and joins Tale of the Nine-Tailed Season 2 as Cheon Moo-young, a doctor who can save the dead and possible foe. Actor Kim joins as Ryu Hong-joo, a former mountain goddess and restaurant owner.

Tale of the Nine Tailed is a South-Korean fantasy television drama starring Lee Dong-wook, Jo Bo-ah and Kim Bum. It aired on TvN from 7th October, 2020 to 3rd December, 2020.

Directed by Kang Shin-hyo and Jo Nam-hyung, the series tells the story of Lee Yeon (Lee Dong-wook), an over 1000-years-old Gumiho (nine tailed fox) who is on the look out for his long lost first love who has reincarnated in the mortal world. Besides that, Yeon also fights evil spirits that can harm the mortal world and its inhabitants.
