Marvel Studios’ Eternals Will Stream On Disney+ From January 2022

Marvel Studios’ Eternals, which was released exclusively in theaters on November 5, already has a Disney+ premiere date.

According to Streaming Guider, Eternals will be available to stream on Disney+ starting January 12, 2022, a little over two months after its theatrical release.

It is not yet known whether the Disney+ version will have additional deleted/extended scenes. As the article points out, the film will drop on a Wednesday instead of the streamer’s usual Friday premieres in a bid to test which weekday is the best for future feature releases.

The Chloé Zhao directed flick was the third feature film in MCU’s Phase 4 and introduced a team of celestial superheroes who have to fight the Deviants once again after having defeated them thousands of years ago.

The Eternals

Despite having a lot of firsts for the MCU – first openly gay superhero, first deaf superhero, and first sex scene – the film received a mixed reaction with a lot of reviews claiming it to be too ambitious for its own good.

Eternals ranks the lowest among all Marvel films at 48%, with 359 reviews on the Tomatometer. However, fans of the film seem to disagree as the Audience Score stands at 80% with about 5,000 votes.

Regardless of what the critics have to say, Eternals is, without a doubt, MCU’s most visually/aesthetically pleasing film. Even the Deviants in the movie have beautiful and unique designs, unlike anything we have seen before in the franchise.

You can decide for yourself whether you agree with the critics or the audience when it comes out on Disney+ in January. If that isn’t enough to convince you, watch it for Harry Styles’ Eros and a voice cameo by Mahershala Ali’s Blade in the post-credit scenes.

Might I add the film also has two Kings of the North reuniting after years, for those of you who miss Jon Snow (Kit Harrington) and Robb Stark (Richard Madden) from the glory days of Game of Thrones.
