The trio presents the evidence to the Church and Ben points out that while her injuries are real, every single video documenting her “possession” was shot and timed perfectly to fit the social media app she was posting them on. Kristen puts an emergency plan in place in case Leland approaches her children at school again.

Upon further investigation of the teenager’s videos, they discover a fame-hungry magician who tricked thousands into believing he was possessed—leading to several copycats like Candace. Ben uploads a video debunking the magician’s tricks which gains a lot of traction on the app.
