Spy Racers S5 Trailer Shows Tony Toretto Lose His Ability To Drive

DreamWorks Animation dropped the first trailer for Fast & Furious: Spy Racers South Pacific and it’s pretty cool (except for the whole technological apocalypse situation, obviously).

The Season 5 trailer introduces Sudarikov’s new terrifying brain-scanning chair that can infiltrate and extract information/skill from a person’s mind, stealing what’s valuable to them.

Sudarikov steals Tony’s ability to drive. However, this is just the beginning, as we later find out in the trailer that his ultimate goal is to achieve world domination with the biggest “technological apocalypse.”

Collider provided the first look at the poster along with what to expect from the upcoming season.

Dominic Toretto’s younger cousin Tony has been kidnapped — and it’s up to the Spy Racer Crew to save him. The gang will have to traverse land, sea, and air in order to find their missing friend and bring him back home where he belongs.

In the process, though, they’re going to stumble upon an unfortunate discovery: Tony has lost his ability to drive!

Can the crew help him re-discover his skills behind the wheel before it’s too late? Or will their nemesis, the evil arms dealer Sudarikov, succeed with his plans for world domination?

The series follows Tony Toretto (Dominic Toretto’s cousin), along with his friends, as they are recruited by a government agency, Ms. Nowhere, to deal with a racing league called the serving layer of the crime organization SH1FT3R.

Just like the movies, the animated series shows the team exploring different parts of the world. The spies move to different locations, including Rio in S2, Sahara in S3, and Mexico in S4.

Now the latest season is set in the South Pacific, and as the team goes racing underwater with their supercars turning into submarines.

As the Fast & Furious movies are reportedly ending after the next two installments, it would be interesting to see where the series is headed and how many more seasons are to come. Even though the main franchise will end, various spin-offs are in talks.

Fast & Furious: Spy Racers South Pacific will premiere on Netflix on August 13.
