Black Panther 2 Merch Offers First Looks at Okoye, Shuri, and Namor

The upcoming sequel to Black Panther (2018), Black Panther Wakanda Forever, finally has some new updates about the first looks for old and new characters.

The merchandise for the MCU film has been revealed via a Twitter account, sharing the possible costumes and first looks for Wakandan Princess Shuri and Dora Milaje General Okoye.

The Twitter account has also disclosed the first looks for MCU’s Atlantean hero Namor and villain Attuma in posts following the merch post for Shuri and Okoye.

After the events of Black Panther, Wakanda must deal with its King’s decision to open the country’s advanced technology and other developed resources to the world. While not much is known, we can confirm a confrontation of sorts between Atlantis and Wakanda.

Chadwick Boseman

Following Black Panther lead actor Chadwick Boseman’s tragic death in 2020, Marvel studios decided not to recast T’Challa and instead focus on other main characters introduced in the first film. Shuri (Letitia Wright) will take over her brother’s role as Wakanda’s monarch and probably the mantle of the Black Panther too.

Ryan Coogler, the director and co-writer of Black Panther, will return for the sequel, with some familiar faces coming back too. Letitia Wright, Lupita Nyong’o, Danai Gurira, Daniel Kaluuya, Winston Duke, Martin Freeman, and Angela Bassett will reprise their previous roles with one new addition – Dominique Thorne’s Riri Williams, a.k.a Ironheart, will be joining the cast.

MCU Facility on Twitter shared Okoye and Shuri’s new look, and the costumes highlighted in the merch might be one of their wardrobe options in the upcoming film. Okoye retains her Doro Milaje outfit, but Shuri sports a new cut and look, her costume foreshadowing her takeover of the Black Panther warrior’s role.

The film is set to release on 11th November 2022, so more information about the cast and plot details will follow soon, probably a month or before the awaited release.
