All the Easter Eggs in The Bad Batch S2 Ep 1 & 2

The Bad Batch is back, and they’re all set to give the Empire a run for their money! Quite literally, as in the premiere episode of Season 2, we see that the crew has taken on yet another heist mission. Here, they attempt to steal Castle Serenno’s treasure before the Empire can sweep it away.

The first two episodes are ripe with moments that are both emotional and filled with action. Of course, there are ample Star Wars references too!

But if you didn’t manage to catch them all, don’t worry, as I’ve listed them down below. Let’s not keep you waiting—here are all the Easter eggs found in The Bad Batch S2 Episodes 1 and 2!

The Bad Batch S2 Ep 1 Easter Eggs

I. Plane Spotting

One of the first scenes of the episode shows Tech teaching Omega about the different Imperial ships. Not only will this information come in handy at the end of the episode, but Star Wars plane enthusiasts will also see a bunch of their favorite models on screen!

II. Outfit Change

You may notice that the Bad Batch is sporting new uniforms. Omega’s getup resembles Clone Force 99’s uniforms even more so now, signaling that she has become an important part of the group.

The Bad Batch crew, on the other hand, have changed their uniform stripe colors from red to yellow. While some fans think this is to further depict their disdain for the Empire, others think yellow doesn’t draw as much attention as red and will help the Batch blend in more.

III. Bolo and Ketch Are Back

The episode would not be complete without the appearance of Bolo and Ketch at Sid’s bar. The staple characters are seen playing holo chess as usual, while AZI had taken up a job as the bartender.

Another Easter egg you may spot here is that there is a Mandalorian helmet and a couple of Phase 2 clone trooper helmets.

IV. What doll is Omega hugging?

This isn’t a huge Easter egg per se, but it’s a callback to the last season. The plush tooka doll that Omega is seen hugging is called Lula and is actually Wrecker’s. He gives it to her as a sign of goodwill in the previous season when the team finally allows her to join them.

V. Castle Serenno

Veteran fans may already know what this place is, but if you’re new to the fandom, let me explain: Castle Serenno was the former home of Count Dooku, a Sith Lord and a Separatist leader. It was attacked during the Clone Wars, and while the inhabitants fled or died, all its wealth stood as is.

This is why, in the first episode, Phee Genoa offers the Bad Batch a chance to steal the treasure before the Empire gets its hands on it.

I. More Familiar Planes & R0 GR droid

As Ep 2 gets into motion, we see that the clone troopers also land on the planet in yet another familiar aircraft, the Low Altitude Assault Transport. Later in the episode, the Bad Batch will also come across an AAT Battle Tank, along with an R0 GR droid! (Sadly, out of juice.)

Fun fact: This droid was also colloquially called Roger!

II. Hector Elizondo Cameo

Omega

This is not a Star Wars Easter egg, but definitely is a cameo worth mentioning. Hector Elizondo, famously known for his role in The Princess Diaries, plays Romar Adell in this episode. He’s a survivor of the attack and helps the Bad Batch evade the clone troopers.

What is perhaps more bittersweet is the connection he develops with Omega, as he realizes that her childhood was stolen from her, just as his planet, people, and culture were stolen from him.

III. Vice Admiral Rampart Is Also Back, Unfortunately

The episode ends with the return of Rampart, whom you may remember as last season’s antagonist as well. Upon hearing from Wilco that the Bad Batch is alive, he kills the officer to cover up this mess.

Rampart does not want anyone to find out that he was unsuccessful in getting rid of the Bad Batch, and is sure to cause them a lot of trouble in the upcoming episodes. Let’s wait and see how that unfolds.
