Godzilla & Kong Tower over Seoul in ‘GvK’ Poster

A couple of bright, colorful Korean Godzilla vs. Kong posters have been released, showing the Titans about to collide over Seoul.

Promotions for the MonsterVerse have truly gone full power ahead. Earlier this week, two new TV spots were released, giving fans a new look at the battle of the century.

Currently, Godzilla vs. Kong is scheduled for a May 21, 2021 release. The movie is officially illustrated as,

“In a new world where man and monster now coexist, Monarch must lead the way to a prosperous future alongside the Titans, keeping humanity in check. However, rival factions that want to manipulate the Titans for war begin to rise under the guise of a nefarious conspiracy, threatening to wipe out all life on the planet. Meanwhile, on Skull Island, strange seismic activity draws the attention of Godzilla and Kong alike.”

On one side, there is Godzilla, an ancient apex predator credible for defending the Earth from the MUTOs and the extraterrestrial King Ghidorah. And on the other is Kong, the king of Skull Island, who would let nothing come in his way to protect his home and people dear to him.

From what information has been made available online, it appears that both the monsters will battle until one can no longer stand. However, it isn’t easy to imagine Godzilla gaining a victory if he has actually turned against humanity. But there’s clearly more to the story than meets the eye.

The Korean poster for Godzilla vs. Kong was released via a deleted tweet from Warner Bros. and a banner via Kaiju News Outlet. The poster shows the monsters looking at each other in Seoul, while the banner shows them about to clash.

Earlier this week, the film approved a Chinese poster. While the Korean one is set in the city, the Chinese poster illustrates an underwater showdown. The film releases at the end of March. However, China, Korea, and other international territories will be able to watch it a little ahead. Tomorrow, a new sneak peek of the film will be published, along with a Q&A session with director Adam Wingard.
