Hawkeye Official Trailer Released And We Love Kate Bishop!

Hawkeye is about to have the most wonderful time of the year with his protege Kate Bishop.

Disney+ Hawkeye that is set to premiere on November 24 has just dropped an official trailer.

The series will act as a bridge that transitions the role of Hawkeye from Clint Barton to Bishop. It is going to be one holly, jolly, violent affair and makes us welcome Kate Bishop with open arms. Watch now:

Barton promises his family that they will have a normal Christmas after his daughter points out that they haven’t spent the holiday together in years. Lo and behold, his plans go haywire when news footage shows that his alter-ego Ronin has returned.

Going on the hunt for the individual impersonating him brings us to Hailee Steinfeld’s Kate Bishop. Bishop is mistaken for Ronin and now has a trail of bad guys after her in the aftermath of End Game.

Since it is Barton’s past as Ronin that gets Bishop into trouble, he unwittingly has to team up with this “fan” who will eventually take on the role of his Hawkeye.

At this point, only a Christmas miracle can help Barton to keep his promise.

The trailer also gives us a moment or two to catch Alaqua Cox as Echo, Vera Farmiga as Bishop’s mom Eleanor and a very elaborate Steve Rogers musical. (Where do we get tickets? I’ve been asking that too).

Florence Pugh’s Yelena is absent on the roll call but we might see her in another teaser, or right before she is set to appear in the episode.

All in all, I’m very excited to have both a Marvel series set against a Christmas theme, and a Hawkeye standalone that is long overdue.

Barton and Bishop’s dynamics look fun and very promising — Bishop is still a little rough on the edges when it comes to being a superhero, but I just can’t have enough of the humor and lightness her presence warrants.

Fans are more than thrilled to see Kate Bishop finally step out of the comic books.

The official Hawkeye poster reads, “This holiday season, the best gifts come with a bow.” We will set our Christmas trees a little early and eagerly wait to unpackage this one.

Hawkeye made up of six episodes will be Disney+’s final Marvel show for 2021.
