Clint Wears Comic-accurate Gear to Face ‘The Boss’ in Hawkeye Finale

Marvel has dropped a teaser trailer for Hawkeye as the series approaches its season finale on Disney+.

Titled The Boss, the teaser shows Clint Barton in a comic-accurate costume, fighting alongside Kate Bishop as they prepare to meet “the big guy” at the top.

The clip sees Clint giving Kate a pep talk as they prepare their gear (with Stark logo on them) to fight. Clint is seen in the suit he wore during the last episode’s dinner but has his superhero uniform under it. Glimpses of a purple and black combination can be seen in the duo’s matching costumes.

Clint then tells Kate about the guy “at the top,” aka Wilson Fisk, who has been pulling all the strings all along. Clint expresses that Kingpin’s involvement was what he has been dreading, but before we meet him, we see another comic-accurate detail – Kingpin’s cane.

It’s just a 30-second clip, but it’s more than enough to get fans of the hero excited/anxious about Clint’s fate.

The previous episode finally confirmed Daredevil’s entry into the MCU, with Vincent D’Onofrio reprising his role as Kingpin, followed by another character making a cameo in Spider-Man: No Way Home.

What with the Kingpin dropping by, Maya Lopez/Echo and the Tracksuit Mafia still out on the streets, and his old friend Nat’s protégé Yelena Belova out to kill him, the holiday season has sure been taxing for Clint.

After the series ends, Marvel should let the man relax with his family, as he originally intended to. But I doubt Clint will know peace anytime soon.

There have been rumors floating around that Clint’s Hawkeye will supposedly die in the series finale, making way for Kate to take over as Hawkeye.

The finale will have the longest runtime of all MCU Disney+ series so far at 59 minutes, so even if it’s a goodbye, it is guaranteed to be a slow and painful one.

Hawkeye marks the end of Marvel’s 2021 slate and has not been renewed for a final season yet. The series’ season finale premieres on Disney+ this Wednesday, December 22.
