Doom Patrol Gets New Mid-Season Trailer & Season 4 Renewal At HBO Max

HBO Max has announced the renewal of DC’s Doom Patrol for a fourth season. The news about the hit series was announced a few hours ago at this year’s DC FanDome event.

The word on renewal came with a mid-season trailer for the third season of Doom Patrol, which is currently ongoing at HBO Max. However, no release date was announced for season 4 of the series.

Based on the DC comics created by Arnold Drake, Bob Haney, and Bruno Premiani that first ran in 1963, the series has become an unlikely fan favorite.

Season 3 of Doom Patrol saw the arrival of April de Mille, aka Madame Rouge. As the season moves forward, April might not be the primary cause of concern for the team of superpowered misfits as the Sisterhood of Dada is presenting some more significant obstacles.

The first two seasons of Doom Patrol aired on the DC Universe streaming app, but season 3 got a direct HBO Max exclusive premiere after DC shifted most of its DCU titles like Harley Quinn, Titans to the streaming service.

The official synopsis for Season 3 of Doom Patrol reads:

“Season three opens on the culmination of Dorothy’s (Abi Monterey) confrontation with the Candlemaker that leads to a devastating loss. The Doom Patrol is at a difficult crossroads, and each member struggles to face who they are and who they want to be. And things get a whole lot more complicated when Madame Rouge (Michelle Gomez) arrives in a time machine with a very specific mission if only she could remember it.”

Doom Patrol stars April Bowlby, Diane Guerrero, Matt Bomer, Brendan Fraser, Timothy Dalton, Joivan Wade, Riley Shanahan, and Matthew Zuk.
