Jamie Lee Curtis Shows off Hotdog Hands in Everything Everywhere Image

It’s the time for multiversal adventures and we’re not talking about the Doctor Strange sequel but instead about Everything Everywhere All at Once—which might not have a powerful superhero sorcerer but certainly has hot dogs for fingers.

It’s the element of curiosity and Jamie Lee Curtis almost always mentions the oddity whenever she posts about the new film. Ahead of the film’s release this Friday, the actress took to Instagram to share a behind-the-scenes image, posing with her hot dog fingers.

Curtis, who plays Deirdre Beaubeirdra, is sitting between the film’s directing/writing duo, Daniel Kwan and Daniel Scheinert. Her caption talks about the film’s theatrical release where “the invention and vision of DANIELS will become clear” and again couldn’t help but mention the hot dog hands.

The actress posted another video demonstrating how the absurdly long fingers make everyday tasks almost impossible as she knits a tiny piece of woolen clothing.

Hot dog hands don’t seem that absurd if you’re familiar with the Daniels’ previous works like Swiss Army Man where Daniel Radcliffe plays a farting corpse who acts as a tool to help a suicidal man on his journey of self-discovery.

However, lead Michelle Yeoh also had a hard time believing the hot dog fingers were not just a joke. While talking to Empire, Yeoh mentioned she tried convincing the duo against it at one point, but ultimately gave in to their vision,

“I honestly thought it was a big joke. I wanted to convince the Daniels to write it out of the film… We went into the different universes believing that this is the real universe. We have to live that moment and live how they would—even though, yes, they had weird digits.”

And although Curtis couldn’t be more excited about the hands now, she added,

“I think the two of us looked at each other and were like, ‘Yeah, I have no idea what the fuck this is’. But clearly these guys do. And they know it so well. You just surrender.”

The film premiered to a positive reception at SXSW. It follows Evelyn, an aging Chinese immigrant, as she finds herself on an insane adventure, exploring different universes and the lives she could’ve lived.

Everything Everywhere All at Once is set to hit theaters on March 25.
