After Dir. Hargrave, Chris Hemsworth Hypes Fans With Second Set Video

There was no way an ex-Black Ops mercenary would die this soon. After months of waiting and a whole lot of teases, Chris Hemsworth, who plays Tyler Rake, announced the first day of filming for the action-thriller on his Instagram.

On November 3, the Thor actor uploaded a one-minute video with the stunt coordinator and director Sam Hargrave. Both stars are on a train in Prague covered in layers of clothes.

Hemsworth voiced the question that lingers on every fan’s mind since the sequel was announced – how did Tyler Rake even survive a bullet?

The Australian actor teases through the video that the only option to find that answer is to watch the film. An excited and visibly cold Hargrave stands behind him, reacting to the actor’s words.

Hemsworth’s video comes three days after the director posted a video of him walking around as it snowed. He uploaded it with the caption “Shoot Day 1..”, making us think the actor’s video would have been shot around the same time, only uploaded later.

Rake’s return (after being hit with a bullet in the neck, multiple wounds, and falling into a river) seemed inevitable till the movie teased it in the credits.

Extraction 1 offered an extreme adrenaline rush as Rake tried to rescue a rich crime lord’s kidnapped son. The sequel aims to provide more action, as the ex-Black Ops would land up in Dhaka, Bangladesh, and take up another dangerous mission – infiltrating a dangerous prison to rescue a family from another crime lord.

Now that both director and actor have announced the start of filming for Extraction 2, it does seem like it will come to the audience’s screens soon. Previously, it was reported that the movie would be released sometime in 2022.
