Deadpool Creator Might Have Just Confirmed Doctor Strange 2 Cameo

Marvel Studios’ Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness got its official trailer during the Big Game and it unleashed chaos onto the internet

Among the list of all the cameos expected to feature in the film, Ryan Reynolds’ Deadpool might’ve been at the bottom of the list – that was until fans spotted something odd in the official poster.

As fans activated their detective side, theories, speculations, and easter eggs came flooding in, and eagle-eyed fans spotted a character who looked awfully similar to Deadpool in one of the broken shard reflections on the poster.

To add fuel to the fire, Deadpool co-creator Rob Liefield decided to leave a confusing tweet about the speculation. As actions speak louder than words, Liefield opted to tweet just three simple emojis.

The emojis can be interpreted as puzzled, giggling, and shushing faces, so make of it what you will, but we’re assuming this definitely confirms the mercenary’s cameo.

With Sir Patrick Stewart’s voice already confirming the X-Men involvement, Wade Wilson dropping by wouldn’t be such a shocker.

Marvel fans, in the usual tradition, joked about Kevin Feige waiting with a snipper outside Liefield’s home to protect MCU secrets.

(Guess now we know where Deadpool’s traits of brazenness and defiance come from.)

The creator has been having a field day with everything Doctor Strange related as he further teased Professor X’s cameo. At this point, Rob might as well just confirm all of the above speculations.

Following Disney’s merger with 20th Century Fox, the Deadpool franchise now comes under Marvel Studios, and this seems like a good opportunity as any other to officially introduce him to the MCU.

The only question that’s now concerning is whether the Merc with a Mouth will have to beep out all his Fs and all the bat-shit crazy characteristics that make him Deadpool. It’s about time Marvel embraced its R-rated side.

Spider-Man: No Way Home toyed with the concept of the multiverse, just like WandaVision, Loki, and What If…? before it. However, Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness will completely explode it all over the MCU when it arrives on May 6, 2022.

So, if there had to be a random character entering the MCU sacred timeline just for something crazy in an otherwise serious/horror story, there’s no better choice than Deadpool.
