Drew Barrymore and Adam Sandler have done a handful of movies together, but their comedic tone and playful chemistry is still going strong. And now the actress has a surprise for us!
In an interview with Entertainment Tonight, Barrymore reveals she is “actively seeking” a new collaboration with her long-time co-star Adam Sandler. Read her full comment below:
We might have mentioned something about it this morning. We’re actively seeking. I know, I wonder the same thing because I think that it is important for us to hook into it. Maybe not be redundant of something we’ve done in the past, but not try to prove we’re doing something different just to prove it. It’s like an alchemy, you know? And it’ll be a little of this, a little of that.

Barrymore has shown interest in rekindling her on-screen romance with Sandler quite a few times, but this is the first official confirmation of a potential film, as vague as it may be. The talk show host has not given any hints as to what it could be or when it comes out, but it seems like the two are talking to some production houses to do a little “alchemy.”
50 First Dates and The Wedding Singer are still considered classic rom coms. It would be a treat to watch the two share the same screen after the 2014 movie didn’t do them justice at the box office.
