Is Hulu’s Candy suitable for children?

This week, Candy, a crime series based on a true story, premiered on the Hulu streaming service. It is a story set in the late 70s and early 80s in Texas and follows the lives of two friends, Candy and Betty.

Considering the show is of the true-crime genre, you will definitely have a question: Is Candy suitable for children? Can it be watched with family?

Candy, a true-crime mini-series on Hulu, has an age rating of TV-MA and is not suitable for children. The entire concept is disturbing, and episodes consist of partial nudity, sexual content, and graphic violence.

To begin with, true crime as a genre is already disturbing for children below the age of 18. The way the crime, the events leading up to it, and the characters are depicted are simply not meant for children.

In the three episodes that have been released so far, there is mild nudity and sexual content. But mainly the show’s premise and brief glimpses of gore and blood are what would be disturbing.

So, if you’re watching the show, it is best that you do it alone or with people who are adults since it is not meant for family viewing.
