Is MODOK Coming To Disney Plus?

It is time that we realize that the sun never sets in the Marvel Cinematic Universe. After years of thriving among the fans, the MCU has still managed to hold its monopolistic position in popular culture. Also, the MCU is never off news!

So, what’s the latest news from the MCU?

M.O.D.O.K is Marvel’s latest animated series from the universe which revolves around the titular Marvel supervillain MODOK (Mental/Mobile/Mechanized Organism Designed Only for Killing). Created by Jordan Blum and Patton Oswalt, the series revolves around crazy supervillain MODOK who has failed to gain control of the world and defeating superheroes meanwhile.

He has been removed from the AIM (Advanced Idea Mechanics) after the company was almost bankrupt. In the latest animated series from Marvel Television, the megalomaniac Marvel villain deals with mid-life crisis issues and family problems.

M.O.D.O.K is coming on Disney+ as a Star original in countries such as the UK, New Zealand, Canada, Australia and Ireland. In the US, the show will be available on only on Hulu. It premiered on 21st May, 2021 on both platforms.

1. Is MODOK coming on Disney Plus?

Yes, MODOK will be available to stream on Disney+ but only in a few countries. The first episode premiered on 21st May, 2021 on Disney+. However, in the United States, all 10 episodes of the first season has been released on Hulu.

Unfortunately, Marvel fans outside of the US will have to wait as subsequent episodes of the series will be released weekly every Friday on Disney+ UK and other countries such as Australia, New Zealand, Canada and Ireland.

2. Who Is Playing MODOK?

The titular character of the show, MODOK is played by Patton Oswalt. The series also stars Melissa Fumero, Aimee Garcia, Beck Bennet, Jon Daly, Wendi McLondon and Sam Richardson in important roles.

Oswalt, who plays MODOK in the series is also one of the creators and executive producers of MODOK.

Yes! M.O.D.O.K is one of Marvel’s most unique supervillains. Although we have not seen MODOK in any Marvel films on the big screen, those who familiar with the Marvel comics will know that he is very much a part of the MCU.

However, in the show Avengers Assemble, MODOK is one of the villains and works for the Red Skull. I would guess it is not long enough before we see MODOK making his appearance in the big screen. Let’s hope the MCU keeps bringing us surprises.

4. About M.O.D.O.K

M.O.D.O.K. is an upcoming American stop-motion adult animated series created by Jordan Blum and Patton Oswalt for Hulu. It is based on Marvel Comics character of the same name.

The show also stars creator Patton Oswalkt as the titular character and is joined by cast members Aimee Garcia, Ben Schwartz, Melissa Fumero, and Beck Bennett. Guest stars include Jon Hamm, Nathan Fillion, Whoopi Goldberg, and Bill Hader.

M.O.D.O.K has long pursued his dreams of one day conquering the world. Although, after years of failures and defeats from Earth’s mightiest heroes, he loses control of his evil organization A.I.M. The story follows M.O.D.O.K trying to get his organization back while dealing with a personal crisis at home.
