Young Rock is a sitcom which focuses on the life of Dwayne Johnson, better known as “The Rock”, his ring name as a wrestler.

The series is based on a fictional premise that Johnson is running for President in the 2032 Presidential elections in the US. Now, that isn’t true. Atleast not yet.

But Young Rock, as explained by Johnson himself is based on true events of his life for the most part. Created by Nahnatchka Khan and Jeff Chiang, the sitcom aired at the NBC every Tuesday.

After the end of Season 1 on 4th May, 2021, fans have been eagerly waiting to know if Young Rock is coming back for another season. It seems like there’s some good news!

Young Rock has been renewed for a Season 2 at NBC. As confirmed by Lisa Katz, an official working for NBC Universal Television, the show is returning with a Season 2. Fans can surely expect some interesting content from the life of The Rock.

In April 2021, there were rumours about Young Rock getting cancelled due to low ratings. This means that Young Rock would not be renewed for another season.

The first season of Young Rock had a viewership rating of 0.62 which means it had around 3.04 million viewers.

However, latest updates and a confirmation from the NBC itself has made it clear that these were just rumours and Young Rock has been renewed for another season. The sitcom gave us some incredible moments and we’ve all wondered if it was all true.

Moreover, fans are eagerly waiting to learn more about The Rock’s incredible life. So, the NBC did not disappoint. We can expect another season for the sitcom soon.

Though the sitcom began with great viewership, low ratings while it ran on NBC gave rise to rumours that the sitcom maybe cancelled. However, NBC has confirmed having renewed Young Rock for a Season 2.

According to Johnson, he and Nahnatchka Khan, the creator of the show chose certain incidents and events that made Johnson what he is. The Rock reportedly enjoyed the process a lot.

However, certain incidents may have been slightly changed to fit the demands of television. But for the most part, the makers have remained true to the real events.
