Kevin Feige Reportedly Wants Johnny Blaze To Be MCU’s Ghost Rider

Johnny Blaze probably won’t have to wait long for his own MCU project as he is reportedly Kevin Feige’s top choice.

Johnny Blaze first made a surprise appearance in Season 4, Episode 6 of Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D., titled The Good Samaritan. This introduced him into the MCU, where he passed the Spirit of Vengeance onto Robbie Reyes.

Sources told Geekosity that the Marvel president wants Blaze to be MCU’s Ghost Rider. The character was played by Nicolas Cage for two films, whereas Gabriel Luna played Robbie Reyes in Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D., two versions of Ghost Rider.

Recently, Giant Freakin Robot also reported that Luna could be returning as Robbie Reyes. Not only that, but an inside source confirmed that Marvel will have multiple Ghost Riders in the Marvel Cinematic Universe at the same time.

Anything is possible with the multiverse (of madness) wide open now.

In the comics, Johnathon “Johnny” Blaze aka Ghost Rider is an American motorcycle stunt performer and entertainer turned Spirit of Vengeance. With the power to control Hellfire and inflict pain on those he deemed evil with his Penance Stare, Blaze seeks vengeance riding his Hell Cycle as the Ghost Rider.

It is worth noting that Johnny Blaze is a part of The Midnight Sons. Its members also include Morbius, Blade, Werewolf by Night, Doctor Strange, Moon Knight, among others.

If these names ring a bell, that’s because all of these characters have their own projects planned/in production for their MCU entry. Except for the Morbius film, which Sony owns.

All of these point towards a potential project that will unite The Midnight Sons.

About Marvel Cinematic Universe

The Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU) is an American media franchise and shared universe centered on a series of superhero films and TV series, independently produced by Marvel Studios and based on characters that appear in American comic books published by Marvel Comics.

The franchise includes comic books, short films, television series, and digital series. The shared universe, much like the original Marvel Universe in comic books, was established by crossing over common plot elements, settings, cast, and characters.
