After two years of hosting RTX at Home, Rooster Teeth is hosting RTX Austin 2022, its annual gaming and internet convention, in person again this weekend.
This year’s convention was highlighted by the popular RWBY panel, which included writers and directors Kerry Shawcross and Eddy Rivas, supervising producer Laura Yates, and lead actresses Lindsay Jones (Ruby Rose), Barbara Dunkelman (Yang Xiao), Arryn Zech (Blake Belladonna), and Kara Eberle (Weiss Schnee).
Many exciting projects were announced for the coming year, including volume 9 of RWBY.
The huntresses of RWBY and the heroes of the Justice League are teaming up in a new animated, crossover feature film slated for 2023.
A first-look image was unveiled during RTX Austin by RWBY’s cast and crew.
In partnership with Warner Bros Animation and Warner Bros Home Entertainment, the RWBY/Justice League crossover will be animated and produced by the same team that produces the hit web series.
Based on the world of Remnant, the upcoming animated film features Justice League members. Currently, the film is scheduled for release in 2023.
Team RWBY first encountered the Remnant versions of Bruce Wayne, Clark Kent, and Diana Prince in the RWBY/ Justice League comic series released last year.
Currently, there are no plot details for the upcoming feature film, except that it will expand on the world of the seven-issue crossover miniseries while telling a wholly original story.
Currently, fans might have to wait for more details to unfold and expect another thrilling crossover between RWBY and Justice League in the upcoming movie.
