The Rock Shares Image Revealing New Look at Justice Society of America

Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson recently shared a new magazine cover image featuring Black Adam and the members of the Justice Society of America.

Black Adam had been in development for years and was shelved for a while in 2009. It was resurrected in 2014 when Warner Bros. announced their plans for the DC Extended Universe. The existing Shazam project was split into two films, allowing Dwayne Johnson to star as the titular anti-hero, Black Adam, in a solo film.

In 2020, Johnson appeared at the DC FanDome streaming event, announcing that the upcoming film would also feature the Justice Society of America. First created by Sheldon Mayer and Gardner Fox, the JSA is a team of superheroes that first appeared in the 1940s.

All set to join Black Adam on the screen, the JSA will include Hawkman (Aldis Hodge), Doctor Fate (Pierce Brosnan), Cyclone (Quintessa Swindell), and Atom Smasher (Noah Centineo).

Dwayne Johnson and his co-stars recently appeared on the cover of Total Film magazine, featuring a new look at the Justice Society of America. Johnson shared the magazine cover on his Twitter handle for his fans. Check out the post below.

Johnson seems pretty confident about Black Adam and its success. He has promised that his entry into the DCEU will forever change “the hierarchy of power in the DC Universe.” Only time will tell if Johnson is right, but a lot of pressure is being put on Black Adam and what it will mean for DCEU’s future.

Due to various reports suggesting Henry Cavill’s disinterest in returning to any DCEU project and Ezra Miller’s erratic behavior, the future of the Justice League is in question. If Black Adam is successful, the JSA might be able to fill the void left by Justice League to an extent.

Black Adam is scheduled to release in theaters on October 21, 2022.
