Kaley Cuoco Teases ‘Flight Attendant’ Season 2

Kaley Cuoco elaborates on what fans can expect from her character when the HBO Max series returns for season 2.

Lead and producer Kaley Cuoco, who portrays the role of the struggling flight attendant pushed into the center of a globe-trotting murder mystery, has hinted at what can be expected from the upcoming season. According to Variety, she seems to be the most focused on what she wants for Cassie “emotionally”.

Season 1 ended with the disclosure that Griffin Matthews (who plays Cuoco’s coworker and friend) was working for the CIA the whole time. He is potentially keen on using Cuoco as an asset for forthcoming missions.

“I’ll definitely be a little of that asset thing because that’s how we ended, and that will keep her in all the hijinks.”

She was also determined to insist that the show wasn’t becoming a regular spy thriller.

According to Cuoco, the new season’s primary emotional driver will be Cassie’s struggle with sobriety. Throughout season 1, we watched the character grapple with alcoholism, trying to reconcile with it as it continued to ruin her life. Teasing about the journey, she said:

“She thinks this is going to be quick and easy, and I’m nailing this! And she’s going to learn really fast that this is a lifelong issue that will not be cured for her overnight. She always had the excuse of alcohol. So no matter what situation she gets in, it’s like, ‘I was drunk! I’m fun Cass!’ And she kind of gets away with it. So now what is her excuse for being shit? What is her excuse for fucking up?”

The Flight Attendant fastened its loose ends by the culmination of the first season. Since it will proceed for a second season, it’s crucial that the series accurately illustrates Cassie’s road to healing. For a person like Cassie, who indicated an inclination to fall back into lethal habits, it wouldn’t always be simple to suppress temptations despite the best intentions.

For fans who loved the more comedic moments of The Flight Attendant, the plotline of Cassie helping the CIA will probably bring a bit of insanity and lightness to the proceedings.
