Allison and Patty visit a funeral home to find an unclaimed body whose identity Allison can assume after faking her death. Meanwhile, Neil struggles with sleep issues and heads over to Kevin’s for their Pal-o-ween tradition.

In a flashback scene to the day of Allison’s father’s funeral, we get to see the first time she met Patty and Kevin. Allison was grieving her father in his favorite bar and became enthralled by how happy Kevin seemed.

Back in the present, Allison falls into an open grave but is fortunately rescued by Patty.

After a particularly bad night, Allison ices her injury from Kevin kicking the door into her face. Allison only has one shot at faking her death and assuming another person’s identity. With no other viable options, it’s likely that Allison will assume the identity of Gertrude.

We can also expect to see her enact the next phase of her plan of faking her death in order to escape her marriage and hometown. Another notable development is Neil reaching out to Tammy.

5. Episode 3 Recap

Patty wakes up in the middle of the night to the sound of an intruder scuffling around in her apartment. It turns out to be Neil, who was looking for cash to buy weed. He tells her the least she could do was give him money.

Meanwhile, Kevin excitedly puts up Halloween decorations while wearing a Dracula costume. He’s excited to scare Neil for their Pal-o-ween tradition. Allison goes to the funeral house with Patty to find a fake identity.

Patty is in a rush to get back as she has to meet Tammy and her sister for drinks later that night. They come across a coffin labeled ‘Gertrude’ and Patty finds it to be the perfect fit. Allison, however, doesn’t think so and wants to keep looking.

The two of them end up having the leave the funeral home as they get interrupted by a strange man. Patty intends to go meet Tammy, but decides against it and follows Allison only to find that she slipped into an open grave and was having a panic attack.

Cast members include Annie Murphy, Eric Petersen, Mary Hollis Inboden, Raymond Lee, Briand Howe and Alex Bonifer.

The show follows a sitcom wife who escapes her confines and becomes the lead of her own life by deciding to kill her husband.

The series premiered on AMC+  on June 13, 2021, and is currently airing its second season.
