Kraven the Hunter Set Video Shows the Villain Holding onto Moving Car

Sony is digging deep into its Marvel character vault. There are the upcoming Morbius, Madame Web, and Kraven the Hunter movies in work that’ll expand the Spider-verse beyond Spidey.

After a long wait, Morbius will finally hit theatres this April, with Madame Web still in its pre-production stages.

So the one project that everyone needs to be on the lookout for is Kraven the Hunter, which has officially begun its production recently with new on-set footage and photos already making their way online.

KravenSource on Twitter posted the clips taken on the London set in which Kraven is hanging off the side of a moving vehicle, gripping its top railing while trying to break in through the window.

The car chase scene shows off the Russian hunter’s skills. In the comics, his many powers include enhanced strength, speed, agility, stamina, and longevity.

However, the Kraven in the video isn’t Aaron Taylor-Johnson, who’s set to play the character in the film, but a stunt double (who could very easily be confused for the actor).

The production will continue during the last week of March at the London Wall, and a listing from Production Weekly also stated that the working title for Kraven is currently named “Spiral.”

An original member of the Sinister Six and Chameleon’s half-brother, Kraven/Sergei Kravinoff is a villain set on hunting Spider-Man.

Kraven the Hunter won’t stray away much from Spider-Man as it’ll feature a coterie of his nemeses, including Fred Hechinger as Chameleon, Ariana DeBose as Calypso, Christopher Abbott (rumored) as The Foreigner, with Russell Crowe and Alessandro Nivola in unspecified roles.

Directed by J.C. Chandor, Kraven The Hunter currently has a release date set for January 13, 2023.

The film’s plot details are not available yet, but theories suggest the story will follow Kraven The Hunter’s origin story and probably his introduction into the Sinister Six.

The film stars Aaron Taylor-Johnson as Kraven, Fred Hechinger as Chameleon, and Ariana DeBose as Calypso. Other cast members joining the leads are Christopher Abbott, Alessandro Nivola, Russel Crowe, and Levi Miller. The film is set to release on 13 January 2023.
