3. Tehran

Tehran is an Israeli spy-thriller, and its tonality and setting are similar to that of The Spy on Netflix. It is one of those shows that will always keep you on the edge of your seat. Quite often, in shows like these, the suspense elements seem forced, but Tehran rises above those to a great extent.

The Problem with Jon Stewart

For those who don’t know, Jon Stewart is the man who popularized The Daily Show and is one of the most important reasons for its success with the masses. Trevor Noah and Hassan Minhaj came much later. In fact, you can even see Jon Stewart’s influence in Patriot Act, a show hosted by Hasan Minhaj.

8. Servant

M. Night Shyamalan’s filmography has had a lot of ups and downs. If you’ve followed his work, you must be familiar with his style. There’s always something eerie and weird happening in his work, and each one will have a classic flip in the end.

Servant

Servant is one of his latest projects. You might not instantly like it due to its unique storytelling style, but over a few episodes, you’ll get used to it. The best and the worst part of this show is how much Shayamalan banks upon the suspense part of the narrative. Nevertheless, you must watch one season of the show, if not all three.

9. The Last Days of Ptolemy Grey

Like Servant, even this show has an exciting premise. Samuel L. Jackson is playing a 91-year-old who suffers from dementia. When he’s given a chance to regain some of his memories through treatment, he accepts without knowing what lies ahead. Unfortunately, he realizes that a lot has happened in his life, and now he must come face-to-face with the ghosts of his past.
