We’re halfway through 2022, and we’ve already seen some of the biggest MCU movies and TV series. While most of them were disappointing, it is still not the end of the year. So, here’s the complete list of upcoming MCU films and series in the remainder of 2022 and the first half of 2023. Let’s jump right in.

I Am Groot: Disney+ Series (August 10, 2022)

I Am Groot is an animated series starring Vin Diesel returning as one of MCU’s most adorable characters. It is a series of shorts that will come out on Disney+ on August 10, 2022. While the plot remains to be unknown, we are sure to see Groot in his own adventures with some new characters.

She-Hulk: Attorney at Law: Disney+ Series (August 17, 2022)

This Disney+ Series received a lot of flack after its trailer released. People all over the internet criticized the lack of finesse in the CGI, and even now, everyone’s quite skeptical about how the show would turn out. After all, filling the Hulk’s humungous shoes is no small feat.

She-Hulk

Besides this, it looks like the creators are going for a humorous vibe, making me question it even more. In recent times, the MCU has been undercutting serious events and issues with forced humor, which makes the viewing experience quite underwhelming. So, hopefully, She-Hulk will rise above that.

Untitled Halloween Special: Disney+ (October 2022)

The MCU has got some exciting surprises for us during the Halloween Season. A Michael Giacchino directorial, the special will be about Werewolf by Night, and Gael García Bernal will play the character. While not much else is known, it will be pretty exciting to see what the director has in store for us.

Black Panther 2: Wakanda Forever (November 11, 2022)

Like many other titles on the roster, not much is known about this one, either. After Chadwick Boseman’s untimely passing, the MCU is left with a massive void, and we don’t know who/what will be filling it.

Black Panther 2

While Marvel has announced that it will not be recasting T’Challa’s character, we wonder who will take up the mantle of the leader. Would it be his sister Shuri or his girlfriend, played by Lupita Nyong’o? I guess we will find out in a few months.

The Guardians of the Galaxy Holiday Special: Disney+ (December 2022)

The GOTG Special is being written and directed by James Gunn, who is riding on the success of Peacemaker. The man’s reputation precedes him, and I hope he brings back some of the magic we’ve been missing in the MCU for a while.

Secret Invasion: Disney+ Series (Late 2022/Early 2023)

In No Way Home, we learned that Nick Fury is not on the planet currently, and we instantly connected this information to the Disney+ Series, Secret Invasion. The story would surround Nick Fury and the shapeshifting Skrull, Talos. If the series follows the plot of the comics, it is being said that its impact on the MCU at large would be as significant as that of Avengers: Endgame.

Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania (February 17, 2023)

The third installment of Ant-Man is one of the most-awaited MCU titles of 2023. The film is set to include characters such as Loki and Kang: The Conqueror. Fans thus expect the film to tease the next big Avengers-like event.

Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3 (May 5, 2023)

After the Holiday Special, James Gunn will be back next year, with GOTG Vol. 3. Although the Guardians did appear in Thor: Love and Thunder, they barely had any screen time and didn’t contribute to the story in any form.

However, the third film in the series is supposedly crucial for all the characters. It is being said that many team members might appear for the last time, and new characters such as Adam Warlock will also make an appearance in the movie. Hopefully, the MCU doesn’t take another great character and make it caricaturish.

The Marvels (July 28, 2023)

The Marvels will expand upon the premise set by Ms. Marvel protagonist Kamala Khan. Brie Larson will also reprise her role as Captain Marvel, but the film will likely be less about her individual character.

The Marvels

There are numerous other projects of the MCU that have no title, release date, or either. Overall, these are all the films and TV shows that we know about for now. Hopefully, we can see some good content from the studio in the near future.
