After Cain and Eve, Netflix’s Lucifer Introduces Adam From The Bible

Lucifer Season 6 just keeps on getting bigger as Netflix keeps on adding more characters to the final season of the series.

First came Rory, Lucifer’s rebellious younger sister who’s here to raise hell, and then Dan re-entered the picture. And as the show has previously introduced biblical characters like Eve, Lilith, Abel, and Cain, fans knew Adam wasn’t far off.

As is the tradition of celestial beings going to Dr. Linda Martin for a therapy session, Adam is seen sitting on the iconic couch in Linda’s office. The official Twitter account sneakily added the clip of Adam at the end of a montage that showed Linda with different characters throughout the series.

Linda is seen counseling a guy (who looks rough over a break-up), “A common rule of thumb suggests a month for every year you were together.” To which he asks how much would that be for ‘a million months.’ That’s when Linda realizes it’s THE Adam.

Eve is in a relationship with Maze, so of course, that has to hurt the poor guy. Adam will likely create some minor problems, as in a recent trailer, things seemed a bit off between Eve and Maze.

Co-showrunners Ildy Modrovich and Joe Henderson had previously teased the introduction of a new character while speaking to TVLine,

Oh, that’s a good one…. There is a new character in 6 that was not going to be a part of Season 5. A whole new character.

Henderson also mentioned that Season 6 will explain the events of last season’s finale along with the whole ‘angels self-actualizing’ thing that will explain Lucifer’s banishment from Heaven.

Modrovich teased the final season, saying,

…what happens when Lucifer gets a hold of something that maybe he thought he wanted? He’s always his own worst enemy, so it’s not going to be an easy road. Let’s put it that way.

Lucifer Season 6 will premiere on September 10 on Netflix.

Originally premiered in 2016, Lucifer was picked up by Netflix when Fox canceled the show after three seasons. Lucifer is set to end with Season 6, which is rumored to air early in 2022.

The series revolves around Lucifer Morningstar (Tom Ellis), the Devil, who abandons Hell for Los Angeles, where he runs his own nightclub named ‘LUX’ and becomes a consultant to the LAPD. All the while working on his character development to be a better Devil/Angel.

The latest season featured the retirement of God, a lot of broken hearts and mending relationships, ambitious Angels, and the Devil taking it upon himself to right the wrongs of his dear ol’ dad, God.
