After WandaVision’s finale, Paul Bettany’s return as the Vision we know and love was decidedly impossible, but the White Vision may return to the MCU. Though no one has spotted S.W.O.R.D’s weapon after the series finale, Marvel is reportedly developing a Vision Disney+ series.
Just a little recap for those of you who are a little lost on who’s White Vision – White Vision is S.W.O.R.D’s rebuilt synthezoid from the remnants of Vision, whom Wanda killed in Endgame.
The original Vision had died in Endgame, and the Vision in Scarlet Witch’s series was simply an extension of her powers. White Vision was deployed to take Wanda down but was unsuccessful and flew off to somewhere unknown.
Without Vision’s ability to render emotions, but with all the memories of his predecessor, White Vision would have been a compelling character to incorporate into future MCU projects. And now, that might actually be in the works!
According to Jeff Sneider’s latest episode on The Hot Mic podcast, Marvel is currently working on creating a Disney+ series for the Avenger, the working title presently set at “Vision Quest.”
The working title is based on a Marvel Comic that documents one of the most memorable story arcs of a character. If the title is any indication, this could mean an exciting new future for Vision and Paul Bettany in the MCU.
But since the content of Vision Quest comic has mostly been adapted in WandaVision, we are excited to see what Marvel has in store for the android robot. Will he finally find a way to attach emotional value to his restored memories?
A reunion may be on the table for the leads of WandaVision in the Vision Disney+ series – if it’s a friendly and happy reunion is another story.
For now, neither Marvel nor Disney have officially spoken up about this show, but we’re hoping to hear from them soon.
