Photos have emerged showing Rachel Brosnahan sitting inside a literal bubble on the set of The Marvelous Mrs. Maisel. Brosnahan plays Miriam “Midge” Maisel in the hit Amazon Prime show. The series is renewed for season 4 and appears to have successfully begun the production with COVID-19 protocols in mind.
Brosnahan posted a picture of herself in costume, sitting in what appears to be a park, inside a bubble umbrella. She captioned the picture, “Sunday In The Park With Covid.” Kevin Pollak, the actor who plays Midge’s father, Moishe, appears to be sitting to Brosnahan’s left. Check out the post below:
The Marvelous Mrs. Maisel follows Midge, a housewife in the 1950’s era, who discovers her knack for humor after she blows up in the comedy industry spotlight. She strives to follow her dream with the help of her manager, Susie Myerson, while balancing her home responsibilities.
The show was so well received by the audience and critics, that it has become one of the most important properties owned by Amazon, and the studio had to renew it for season 4. Brosnahan’s Instagram post also confirms that The Marvelous Mrs. Maisel has officially begun production for season 4, after being delayed due to the pandemic.
The season 3 finale wasn’t all smiles and laughter for Midge, as she gets fired from the second half of her comedy tour with Shy Baldwin, a fictional pop star. This happens after she inadvertently almost outs Shy as gay in front of at least a hundred people in his hometown.
The season ends with Midge and Susie staring at Shy’s private plane taking off, as they are left dealing with the shock of being informed that they were fired.
Not much is known about the plot for season 4, as no trailers or teasers have been released yet. But Midge trying to pull her life together after getting fired from such a high-paying and popular job might be a good starting point.
Many projects have gotten delayed due to the pandemic as COVID-19 is still on the rise. But it finally looks like things are starting to get back to the way they were, even if the progress is snail-paced. The first three seasons of The Marvelous Mrs. Maisel are available for streaming on Amazon Prime Video.
