Mayor of Kingstown S2 Episode 5: Release Date, Recap, and Speculation

If you were expecting Mike’s situation to get any better in episode 4 or that he’d get at least one win, you were gravely wrong. “The Pool” begins and ends with Horace’s treasure, and the way his stubbornness gets him killed only makes us worry about the obstinate Mike.

This week’s episode leaves Mike McLarky in a bigger mess with a vacant Tent City, his fading sway over DA, and no sign of Iris. And by the looks of it, the worst is yet to come! Milo’s money is in the air, and the criminals of Kingstown are now surely gunning for Mike. So, what can we expect from episode 5?

1. Episode 5 Synopsis/Speculation

Horace’s story in episode 4 was a reminder of the brutality Milo and his men are capable of, and there is a reason why this week’s episode alludes to this fact. In the upcoming week’s episode, we may see Milo circling his money via Joseph. Or maybe he will play a more active part in getting his money back!

While that only means more trouble for Kingstown and Mike, there are more pressing matters. With Bunny transferred to another prison, his hold over the inmates will gradually fade, putting him in danger. Will the Generals revolt against the leader of Crips and knock him down for putting them into this mess?

With Bunny out of the picture, Mike’s plan to bring peace to Kingstown seems less plausible by the minute. And now that Mike has successfully doomed all the gang leaders, all the criminals of Kingstown will be on the rampage, and the mediator might find that his words don’t hold power over them any longer.

Mayor of Kingstown is raising the stakes with each episode, and we can guarantee that next week’s episode will be more intense and riveting than episode 4. So, when can the viewers get their hands on episode 5?

Mayor of Kingstown

A construction worker named Horace finds and reburies a treasure at the beginning of the episode while Bunny warns mike about Kingstown’s intend to ship Tent City’s prisoners out to a different prison. Afraid his plan with Bunny will fall to pieces, he confronts Evelyn about the initiative, but the DA’s office is under too much pressure from the feds to back down from this now.

After his big yet ineffective speech to Evelyn, Mike confers with Bunny, who tells him the Generals don’t trust him to see this through. And though Mike fakes confidence and assures him he can pull this off, we all know his promises keep coming out empty. Meanwhile, Horace rushes around the town to cash in Milo’s bonds and learns about Joseph.

Iris, already rebelling against Milo, warns Horace not to approach Joseph, but the money-hungry worker doesn’t see reason. Cut to him being beaten to a pulp while his wife hands over the treasure to the police, who retain it to bait Milo on Mike’s say. Mike tries recruiting Kareem for help but fails again, and thus is too late – he returns to Tent City to find a ghost town, all the prisoners already transferred.

Horace is found dead at the bottom of the pool, most probably killed because he refused to give up his treasure.
