Meet Jameela Jamil’s Titania: The Ultimate Villain in She-Hulk

At the end of She-Hulk Episode 1, we’re introduced to a new character who suddenly breaks into court when Jennifer Walters is about to deliver her speech. The woman is none other than Titania, a super-powered influencer who can’t help but breach the law. Titania is the main antagonist in She-Hulk.

Created by Jessica Gao for Disney+, She-Hulk: Attorney at Law introduces Bruce Banner’s cousin, Jennifer Walters, into the MCU. After a car accident, Bruce ends up bestowing some of his Hulk-ness into Jennifer. The series focuses on how Jennifer balances her life as a lawyer and as She-Hulk.

Every superhero has their own nemesis, and She-Hulk is no different. The main villain of the series was introduced at the end of Episode 1, but not much is known of her yet. This character is Titania, a super-powered influencer.

Titania first appeared in 1984’s Marvel Super Heroes Secret Wars #3. Created by Jim Shooter and Mike Zeck, Titania from the comics was born Mary MacPherran. She was born premature and underweight and was teased by fellow classmates in school.

However, Mary’s life changed when a part of her hometown was plucked from Earth and used by the all-powerful cosmic being called the Beyonder to create his Battleworld. Doctor Doom offered Mary her own superpowers, and she became Titania.

In later issues of the comics, Titania became She-Hulk’s nemesis. In the series, she only appears once at the end of the first episode, as of now. However, we can expect to see much more of her soon.

In the first episode, she breaks into court when Jennifer Walters is about to deliver her speech. Walters is forced to transform into She-Hulk to save the day and fight her. Titania is easily defeated by Jennifer, after which she goes back to her normal self to deliver her speech in court.

She-Hulk Episode 2 did not feature Titania and not much is known about her role in the series yet, either. Titania from the series is different from Titania from the comics. In the comics, Titania is not an influencer or interested in fashion and fame. So, the MCU has changed quite a bit about her character.

Hopefully, we will soon see more of Titania in subsequent episodes of She-Hulk. New episodes of She-Hulk premiere on Disney+ every Thursday.
