One prequel that everyone has their eyes on is The Lord of the Rings: The Rings of Power. Set 3,000 years before The Hobbit, the prequel was definitely going to get new characters, and we finally have a look at two of them.
Amazon Prime Video shared photo teasers introducing two new characters, Theo and Bronwyn, on their official Twitter account recently. The photos give enough information to keep the conversation buzzing.
The 16-year-old Australian actor Tyroe Muhafidin plays Theo while Iranian actress Nazanin Boniadi plays Bronwyn.
In the teaser, Theo looks intently at a broken sword with the hilt in his hands. The sword seems old and the handle ornate. It seems that the sword, which purposely shows the details on the hilt, will be playing a major role in the upcoming prequel.
Theo is Muhafidin’s first major role in a series. He previously worked in the movie Dusk in 2018 and the TV series Caravan in 2019.
On the other hand, Bronwyn stands in a mountain area beside a pool of water. Her hair is a bit unkempt. She wears a long red robe and looks sideways at someone with a serious expression.
Nazanin Boniadi, who plays Bronwyn, is known for her role in the hit sitcom How I Met Your Mother. She also has been featured in Homeland (2013-2014), Counterpart (2016), and Hotel Mumbai (2018).
No other details about the two characters have yet been released. However, it does seem that the duo will be series regulars, considering the vague and mysterious character reveal.
Meanwhile, there’s still ample time before The Rings of Power releases. The prequel will be released on Amazon Prime Video in September.
With a few months to go, The Hobbit and LOTR fans can expect many more teasers to be released and be on the lookout for any new development.
