Official Spider-Verse 2 Art Features Miles Morales & Spider-Man 2099 Fight

Christopher Miller, producer and co-screenwriter of Spider-Man: Across the Spider-Verse, shared an exclusive poster design of the upcoming film on social media. The poster depicts Spider-Man 2099 fighting Miles Morales.

The upcoming film is a sequel to the 2018 film, Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse. The film was a huge commercial success and went on to win the Academy Award for Best Animated Feature.

The film followed the story of a young man, Miles Morales, who is bitten by a radio-active spider and becomes Spider-Man. However, he discovers that he must team up with multiple Spider-Men from various multiverses to fight crime-boss, Wilson Frisk. Frisk has built a multi-verse threating device to access a universe where his wife and daughter are still alive.

Spider-Man: Across the Spider-Verse

The first Spider-Verse movie’s success guaranteed that it would eventually get a sequel. But the good news is that it isn’t just getting one, but two sequels. Across the Spider-Verse is scheduled to release in theaters on June 2, 2023. It will be followed by Beyond the Spider-Verse, slated to release in March 2024.

Christopher Miller, producer and co-writer of the film, shared an exclusive poster design of the upcoming film on his official Twitter handle. The poster was given out as a gift to crew members of Across the Spider-Verse.

The poster represents the unique, experimental animation style of the franchise with the characteristic staggered color scheme. It depicts some intense action between Miles Morales and Spider-Man 2099, as they fight each other mid-air in the poster.

Miller did not reveal the name of the artist, but their signature is visible in the bottom right corner of the image shared by him. Check out the poster below-

Fans are eagerly waiting to see how the design will tie the actual plot of the film. It has been revealed that Spot will be the main antagonist in the film, but Spider-Man 2099 might be a supporting or secondary antagonist.

The first film is celebrated for its unique animation style and stellar storytelling, and the sequel is aiming to be even better in terms of storytelling and technical filmmaking. The poster depicts the amount of hard-work and effort that went into making the film. Hopefully it will all pay off when the film releases next summer.
