Spotify Matches You With A Money Heist Character And Their Playlist!

To get us all hyped up for the last part of Money Heist (and distract us from the sad fact that the show is ending), Spotify has teamed up with the show to bring us all character-curated playlists!

While you can directly access the playlists, Spotify has also made a quiz to “match” you with a particular character and their associated playlist. (I got Lisbon, by the way!)

The possible results are these nine characters: Tokyo’s Party Mix, Professor’s Bunker Beats, Berlin’s Classy Vibes, Lisbon’s Pencil Pin Playlist, Denver’s Love & War Mixtape, Rio’s Hacking Jams, Marseille’s Escape Tracks, Stockholm’s Revenge Rhythms, and Alicia Sierra’s Badass Anthems.

The nine playlists cover all genres, from popular artists to the most obscure ones. I would say it is a gem as exquisite as the show itself!

It is pretty fun to see how the cast picked these songs for their characters, discovering new traits in the process. For instance, Álvaro Morte talks about discovering how the Professor has a “funkier” musical taste.

The cast has also filmed a few exclusive videos for Spotify, as teased in this Tweet:

The same is only available on the mobile version of the app. The show has put up character posters, exclusive videos of the cast talking about their musical inspirations, the curated playlists, as well as, a direct link to watch Part 5.

In addition to this, there is an official Spotify playlist for all Money Heist’s soundtracks too.

As seen with the popularity of Bella Ciao, now being synonymous with Money Heist, music has become an indispensable part of the show. Spotify has previously also partnered with Netflix’s Lucifer to carry out similar promotions.

While the premiere is not far away, fans can tap to their character’s favorite beats while they wait. The second half of Money Heist’s Part 5 will return to Netflix on December 3.

About Money Heist

Money Heist (Spanish: La casa de papel, meaning “The House of Paper”) is a Spanish heist crime drama television series created by Álex Pina.

The series traces two long-prepared heists led by the Professor (Álvaro Morte), one on the Royal Mint of Spain, and one on the Bank of Spain. The narrative is told in a real-time-like fashion and relies on flashbacks, time-jumps, hidden character motivations, and an unreliable narrator for complexity.

The show focuses on the meticulous plans and the specific contingencies of the Professor who has prepared his group of robbers dressed in red jumpsuits and Dali masks.
