Moon Knight Ep 6 Post Credits Scene Introduces Jake Lockley

Moon Knight series finale was an action-packed ride. With Harrow and Moon Knight facing off each other with the two mighty gods Ammit and Khonshu smashing each other behind them, it was a sight to behold.

Layla becoming Taweret’s avatar was a pleasant surprise, and boy can she fight! She had an equal role in defeating Arthur Harrow as Marc and Steven did. By that, I mean neither of them could stand Harrow’s powers, and both Spector and Grant had to blackout for them to win.

This brings me to the epic post-credits scene that had a reveal we were all waiting for throughout the season. If you were at a loss of words or explanation, I’ve got you. Here’s the Moon Knight series finale post-credits scene explained.

Moon Knight Ep 6 post-credits scene reveals Marc Spector’s third personality, Jake Lockley. Khonshu still controls Marc’s body through Jake and makes him kill Arthur Harrow.

After Ammit’s body is bound with Arthur Harrow, we see Harrow admitted into an asylum. It’s almost like the show came full circle. Initially, Harrow was the doctor, and Marc was the patient. While this was merely Marc’s imagination, a way for him to deal with the things, in reality, it still was very much real on a symbolic level.

Harrow always wanted to ‘cure’ the world and restore balance through Ammit, and Marc was always the one who was against this messiah mindset. On a side note, the messiah complex is something people with bipolar disorder face. Nope, I’m not insinuating anything.

Coming back to the metaphor, Marc went about killing the people who sinned, and Arthur spoke to him in a way where he could cure him and relieve him of his internal conflict. Hence the imagination of an asylum.

However, in the end, Harrow was the one who got stuck in an asylum after Layla, Marc, and other gods bound Ammit to him. After all, it is pretty delusional for someone to think that they can save the whole world, believe in that idea, and actively pursue it.

While this is one part of the post-credits scene, let’s look at the other part. A man speaking in Spanish gets into the asylum and tries to break Harrow out of there. As they move through the hallways, Harrow sees people lying dead in their pool of blood and wonders what exactly is happening.

The man puts Harrow inside a Limo, and there we see Khonshu. For the first time, we see Khonshu in a chic suit that truly goes with his manipulative and wicked personality. He tells Harrow how Marc’s assumption that Khonshu wanted Layla as his avatar was absurd.

This is the big moment when he reveals that Marc has no idea there’s a third personality within him. We see Jake Lockley in the driver’s seat, turn back, and shoot Harrow, presumably to death.

Jake Lockley was hinted at in the show on a few occasions. The first time was when Marc fought his way through different people to get to Ammit’s tomb in episode 3. Both Marc and Steven blacked out, and they didn’t know what exactly happened.

The second time was in Marc’s imagination. There’s a Sarcophagus or Egyptian coffin in one of the mental wards. We’re not shown what’s inside of it. Finally, the third time was in the final fight scene, when Marc, Steven, and Layla are losing their battle against Harrow.

Marc blacks out, and everyone except Harrow is dead when he wakes up. In fact, even Harrow is barely alive because he was still needed to defeat Ammit. So the post-credits scene confirms that Jake Lockley as a third personality exists in the MCU, and Khonshu still controls Marc through him.
