When Kamala asks her mother about Aisha, she shuts her down and tells her to never bring it up again because she apparently “brought great shame to the family”. It’s clear that the answers to Kamala’s questions about her powers and the bangle are hidden in Aisha’s history. How will Kamala learn to control her powers? Will she tell Nakia about her powers?

Ms. Marvel Episode 2 Recap
Kamala is in high spirits after realizing she has superpowers and tales of the mysterious superhero at Avenger Con are echoing through the school hallway. She meets Bruno in the theatre and the two of them decide to test the extent of her powers. They conduct a series of experiments to learn more about her powers and Bruno deduces that the bangle unlocked powers that were already present within Kamala.
Kamala apologizes to her mother for sneaking out and gets permission to go to Zoe’s party. When things go south, Kamala and her friends get a ride back with Kamran. On the way back, Kamala realizes she has a lot in common with Kamran. He gives her his phone number and offers to give her driving lessons. The next day, Kamala’s powers act up while she’s in class and she rushes to the toilets. Nakia also asks her why she’d been acting so strange for the past couple of days.
At dinner, Kamala’s father tells an old family story to her brother’s fiance. The bangle mysteriously starts to glow and Kamala sees a bright white light and passes out. Later that night, Kamala calls her Nani to find out more about the bangle, and she tells her it belonged to her great-grandmother, Aisha. Her father almost walks in at the moment but Kamala is able to push the door closed with her powers and pretends to be asleep when he’s finally able to pry it open. Kamala decides to find out more about Aisha at the community Eid event.
